Vienna, Bratislava and Prague, Aug 2013

Castle and its garden
Panda in Zoo
Took a week off in Aug 2013 to visit Vienna and Prague. We (me, Jashmini and Praful) boarded an overnight train from Trieste to Vienna. Reached next morning and ended up in a youth hostel which gave us the worst hosteling experience. We stayed in Vienna for two days went to the famous Castle and its garden and also the zoo. Nothing new was there in the city.. it is a normal European city with all the buildings and churches of same architecture. A must do is to eat Sacher in Vienna, it was awesome!

On the third day we reached the bus station of Vienna to get a bus to Prague but there was a bus late in the evening and we did not want to spend another day in Vienna so we decided to have a day trip to Bratislava.

Bratislava on the other hand was something different from the usual European city, we could see the striking difference between western and eastern city. The city gave me a feeling of being poorer and unorganized with a typical Soviet city landscape.

The cathedral

Later in the evening we caught the bus to Prague, crossing the beautiful green lands of Czech we reached Prague. We were tired by that time so we just called the day off. Next morning we started our sight-seeing and Prague became one of my favorite tourist destinations. It is full of beautifully arched buildings and cathedrals, all of them with different architecture. We also enjoyed the Gay Parade happening during the period of our stay.

There are many things that I did not do like the famous pub-crawl and the night club with 5 stories. I would love to go again and get wasted there.

From Prague we came back to Vienna and boarded the train further back to Trieste with a hope of going back to Prague again.
